She points out that paper weaving is a sustainable and accessible medium. One of her missions is to inspire everyone to repurpose, recycle, and reuse papers they may already have, such as maps, postcards, journals, greeting cards, and even those free magazines and the promotional fliers in the mailbox. Then there’s the joy of using amazing and unusual decorative papers in a new way. Since paper weaving doesn’t require any specialized equipment like a loom, it’s for everyone. And, she says, it’s fun!

Join Helen to create a trio of notecards featuring three innovative weaving techniques: using shaped strips, weaving hexagons, and adding windows to reveal imagery and pattern between woven layers.
